Trained as a graphic designer and working for several advertising agencies
Daphne Westland moved on to apply her aptitude for bold typography to
the art direction, design (and re-design) of fashion editorial titles during the last 15 years.
Daphne is praised for her typography qualities, her distinct eye for detail,
her ability to underline a message through visuals, her openness and enthusiasm
for new techniques, designers and photographers and has been nominated several
times for various awards for her graphic design and art direction.
Daphne is an art director with a traditional approach to the past, yet with
an open-minded view and tingling enthusiasm for all the developments of today.
Her work can be described as bold and simple. I's a mix of play, colour, humor and graphic sets.
A strong combination that will compliment portraiture, fashion, interior and still life.
Currently she's focusing on the commercial side of her profession.
She's an alumni of the Art Direction: Mastered accelerator for 2017.
